j TURN UP IN ALASKA. - - Received Sept. 10, 0.41 a.m. ■»> Di „ New York > September 9. , Mr. Stefanson, ethnographer in Nikv kelsens expedition, telegraphing from Mgle City, Yukon, announces that after" the ship was nipped the party safely. accomplished the journey across the ice to land. Mr. Nikkelsen is shortly telegraphing. Nikkelsen's Anglo-American Polar expedition set out on May 20th of last year, intending to spend two or three years in exploration in the Arctic regions. Recent messages announced that the expedition's ship had been lost, and it was feared the explorers with it. This morning's cable, however, while confirming the loss of the ship—crushed by the ice—reports the safety of the party.
