MACK'S PICTURES.
Macdermotfs well-known entertainers will appear in the Theatre Royal next Wednesday and Thursday, and among other attractions will be presented living reproductions of the two great events, the Webb-Towns boat race and the All Blacks' victory in New South Wales. The company, since last here, has visited the Australian States, and its six-weeks season in the Lyceum Theatre, Sydney, established its reputation throughout the Commonwealth. A very successful season in His .Majesty's Theatre, Auckland, was brought to' a conclusion last week, and the company will next appear before a New Plymouth audience. The Star says of the show:—"The film depicting ' the All Blacks-New South Wales football match excited the wildest enthusiasm ami called for considerable comment from the small boys in the gallery, who succeeded in picking out individual players and calling them by name, and expressing their approval or disapproval of the play in no uncertain terms Another excellent film was the Webb-Towns sculling race. It was very clear and distinct, and gave an excellent idea of the struggle for supremacy. The list of subjects shown was extensive, and included many beautifully colored and humorous films. During 'the evening a Iventriloquial entertainment was given |by Mr. Jess Collier, who gave a highly creditable performance."
