AN ACTOR'S ESTATE. London, September 2. The estate of the late Richard Mansfield, actor, has been sworn at £IBO,000. SHIPWRECKED CHEW SAFE. Brisbane, September 3. Seven black boys, the missing members of the crew of the ketch Day Dawn, wrecked on August i, have arrived at St. Lawrence. They experienced great hardships. (On August 1!) news reached Brisbane that a Japanese fishing vessel had been wrecked on the Barrier Reef on the 3rd. The crew, comprising fifteen Australian natives and Japanese, took to the four small boats. Two of the boats containing eight of the crew were picked up on the 13th. Tug others were missing. Their occupants were supposed to be drowned. Those who were picked ap had suffered badly from their experience.) INFLUENZA IX SIDNEY. Sydney, September 3. There were twenty-six ueaths from influenza in the metropolis last month—a record for August for the past ten years.
