A DISASTROUS RACE. Rome, September i. 6ignor Minaia won the Florio Cup for the International motor race of 300 miles at Brescia in the presence of 10ft,OUO spectators. lie drove a Sotta francnini car. He covered the distance in 4 hoars 30 minutes 43 seconds, averaging 105 kilometres (about 65 mile*) per hour. Baron Martino, one of the competitors, was killed. Several others were Injured. Two of these are dying. Tile Marquis of Pallavicini and a friend, a lawyer, while motoring to Brescia to witness the race, collided With a train at a level crossing. Both were killed.
