THE HALF-HOLIDAY QUESTION.
Per Press Association, Invercargill, Last Night. In reply to the protest of the local Wednesday Half-holiday Association, 1 Mr. Millar wires that he has no tote'tion of taking away the Saturday halfholiday from those who have enjoysd it for years. The Bill was framed to meet the case of country towns dependent almost entirely on the trade of : people from a distance, whereas towns like Invercargill have trade within their selves irrespective of country trade. ;
