(From Our Own Correspondents.) WAREA. The Rev. T. Fisher gave an interesting lecture on Friday night. The night being wet only a dozen turned out. A number of pictures was shown by means of Mr Fisher's limelight* The lecture was on "The History of tho Church of England." Mr F. Roebuck, of Okato, was the successful tenderer for carting uie butter from the local factory to the Moturoa Freezing Works.
Mr 11. Pelhani has been engaged lately at the factory making alterations for tho combined churn and butter-worker that is expected to arrive shortly. Several oilers have ITcen 'made lor this season's butter, but none so far lms been accepted. The directors are hanging off for a better price. The best offer is 10'/ 8 d per lb. Most of the fruit trees are out in full bloom.
Mr S. Dalrymple, Government Inspector of Machinery, is shortly ospected at the factory oil his annual inspection of the boiler.

PUNGAREHU. One of the features of the evening was the graceful dancing of the Highland Fling, in full Highland costume, by Miss Rookes, and which was so much appreciated that she had to respond to a ' most enthusiastic encore.
