Sydney, August 31 Indications fur the next wool season are highly favourable, There will He a strong demand for Till descriptions of wool. Never before in the history of the trade was the position sounder than to-day.

THE WOOL MARKET.: Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington have received the following cable message from their London office, dated the 27th instant:—"English crossbred wool, coarse long lustrous descriptions, market firmer, owing to American buyers operating freely. The -wool market generally is very firm."

TT Griffiths and Co., dairy produce exporters, New Plymouth, are in receipt of the following market report from their London principals, Messrs. Mills and Span'ow, dated 10th July, 1007:—-

BUTTER. Weather the past lew days has been all that could be desired, and farmers are taking every advantage of the altered conditions, and are getting the hay iu as fast as possible. llanisli.—An "advance was anticipated by many, but no change has taken place. It would not surpriso us to see a slight rise next week. French.—The supply has rather increased again this week, but there is no reduction in prices. The increased quantity is not expected to continue for long, as the season is now fairly well advanced. Siberian. Arrivals this week aro about the same as last, but quality shows a very marked improvement! I This butter is being sold very clieapi.v in comparison with all other makes, and is now full grass. Buyers aro turning their attention to those, and arc taking any immeffiate|ly oil landing. There"is no doubt that | while the quality continues as so tisfac11I>ry1>ry as it N :it present there will? be a heavy trade done.
