A FRENCH SENSATION.
HARBOUR DEFENCES INTERFERED WITH. A MICROPHONE STOLEN. Received Ist, 4.31 p.m. London, August 31. Reutcr reports great excitement at Cherbourg over the disappearance of one of the microphones moored off the harbour, which was intended to report the presence of hostile ships in war-time.
