AUCKLAND TRADE AND MINING STATISTICS.
Per Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The total gold returns for August for the Auckland district amounted to £108,380 lis 9d, tlie Wailii Gold Mining Company contributing £05,1C0 and tlio Talisman £11,500.
The Customs duties for the port of Auckland for the month of August -totalled £71,033, and boer duty £1984, as against £67,477 and £IOSO respectively last August The exports "of gofd and silver totalled 30,4510z (£145,20?) :and 152,4780z ( £15,941) respectively, as against 22,3810z (£1)0,052) and 111,66302 ( £11,330) in August, 1900.
