THE AUCKLAND TOUR. BEATEN BY, SOUTH CANTEBURY. Per Press Association.
Timaru, Last Night. The match, Auckland v. South Canterbury, was played this afternoon. The weatlier was warm, and the attendance good._ Tho match was u~nioßt interesting one, but on the whole the forwards bore the brunt of it, as play was kept very close. Soon after the kick-oil', Roddick placed a goal from a penalty; then Hooper scored a try, which V. Scott eonverted. At this stage, South Canterbury were leading by Bto 0. Murray got the first try for Auckland, which McGee converted, and the first spell ended 8 to 5.
In the second spell Murray again got Hall failed at goal. With the scores equal, play became very strenuous. With two minutes to go, a serum was formed on the Auckland line, and, the ball going out to South. Canterbury, Rodgera slipped across. The kicil at goal was a failure, and the game ended— South Canterbury, II; Auckland, 8. INTER-COLLEGE MATCHES. Per Press Association. Wanganuf, Last night. The football match between Wellington College and Wangamii College Old Boys took place this afternoon. Wellington had not a strong team, and played substitutes. Wanganui won by 14 to 3.
Wellington, Last night. The Christ College (Christchurch)football team met Wellington College at Miramar to-day. The game ended in a draw, one try each.

Wellington, .Cast night. The management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union made several disqualifications general, including a life sentence imposed by the Buller Union on a player for striking a referee and others. The names of several players who had played with the professional team were forwarded by the Canterbury, Wairarapa and Wanganui Unions. All such players were expelled. The appeal of the Pioneer Club (Gore) against disqualification by the Southland Union for refusing to meet Waikaia on the hatter's ground was disallowed, bin Southland Union is to be asked to review the circumstances.
N.P. HIGH SCHOOL TOUR.
The New Plymouth High School bovs played flic Napier High School fifteen "at Napier yesterday afternoon." The game resulted in a win for'thc New Plymouth boys by 13 to 3, tries being obtained bv Grant, Quilliam and Hurle, Pott potting a goal.
