COAL MINERS' GREIVANCES.
ANOTHER DIFFICULTY AT NEWCASTLE. Sydney, August 28. A difficulty has cropped up at the Hepburn colliery, Newcastle, through which a mine ha# been thrown idle. Ben object to work the mine owing to the sparking of electric cables supplying power to the coal-cutting machines. ThO manager of the mine contends Ih&t there* is no gas in the mine, and therefore no danger, but the men contend that there is a danger of thp cutting machines striking a "blower" of gu at any moment. The titrable threatens to spread to Otojr mines, causing a dislocation of the tool trad*.
