INTERESTING ITEMS.
A meeting of the General Laborers' Union is culled for this (Wednesday) evening, at 7\30 o'clock.. If you want a decent potato or fruit crop it is certain that you will have *o keep down the blight. For small gardens the "Success" spray pump is just the thing, while for Inrger areas the "Rochester" is the pump to use. Either of these pumps can be had at reasonable price from Okey, Son and Arnold's, Devon street.
Two black and white cattle dogs (unregistered) are now in possession of the Borough dog registrar. Unless claimed by 4th September the dogs will be sold.
Tendcrs for the erection of a: plumbing class-room at the New Plymouth Technical School close on 31st inst.
The railway euchre party and dance to be held at the Brougham street Hall on Friday evening in aid of the Western Park gives promise of being largely attended. So that card-players will aot be disappointed the committee have arranged for a number of extra tables, which will be placed in the supper-room. Altogether there will be 42 tables for euchre.
A reminder is given of the grand musical display, "Britannia," in the Whiteley Hall this evening and to-morrow, commencing each night at 8 p.m.
