ATTITUDE TOWARDS MILITARISM.

The Socialist Congress at Stuggart, with a view to showing a united Iront, adopted, by acclamation and without dismission, the sub-committee's resolution on militarism, combining the German and French resolutions. It proposed the establishment of citizen militia and the employment of arbitration iu Mttling disputes. A sensation was caused by M. llerie opposing the adoption without discussion. He demanded an assurance that the German social Democrats agreed with the resolution, not with Here Bebel's and M Vollmar's views, as expressed in committee.

M. Vailderveldc explained they agreed With the combination oi resolutions.
