THE FRUIT FLY.
Per Press Association. Wellington, August 26. Mr Baucher, Government pomologist in the North Island, who has just returned from Hawke's Bay, states that, after careful examination in . the locality where the fruit fly was discovered last season, nainely, on the Napier Hills, no twea of it can be found. This, he says, gives leasonable ground for believing that the fly was stamped out last season.
