Butter— The dull unseasonable weather continues,_ and trade at all seaside resorts is m consequence very unsatisfactory.
Danish: Prices have advanced one kroner; the quantity of "choicest" butler' Js none too plentiful. French: Market steadv and the demand 13 quiet, except for the very choicest which buyers are taking rcmlarly week by week. ° ■Siberian: Quality very unsatisfactorr The quantity of finest is exceeding small, and buyers cannot rely oil this for their best trade. The dairies are altogether too irregular, and agents have the Utmost difficulty in clearing except at confectionery" prices. Australian and New Zealand: Small arrivals continue to come to hand, but not in sufficient quantities to create a market; quotations are therefore nominal Buyers are at the moment very critical,.but we think all the butters of good quality which are now being put into store will be wanted. It is difficult to say how the secondary will pan out, but better prices should be made for these than are obtained at the present
Cheese.—Prices are again in favor of buyers to the extent of say Is all round, file cold weather has curtailed the demand for milk and cream, and many of the English farmers will, we anticipate, be having a much heavier make of cheese than for some years past.
