I ' A SYDNEY PROTEST. Sydney, August 20. \ The Sydney Chamber of Commerce ' adopted a resolution Btrongly protesting l * against the proposed new Federal tariff. LABOR DISSATISFIED.
Sydney, August 20. Messrs McGowan and Flowers, leaders of the KTow South Wales Labor Tarty, have gone to Melbourne to con- ' suit the Federal labor leaders with reference to the now tariff. It is stated that tho visit is the result of much discontent among the working classes of Now South Wales at the large increase in duties. Tills, it is said, is not unlikely to have an important effect on forthcoming State elections.
