ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Per Press Assoiiatfon. Christchurch, August 19. A man named Walter Henry committed suicide at Tcmpleton to-day, shooting himself through the head. The body was taken to the city morgue this afternoon, and an inquest will be held tomorrow. Wellington, August 19. A lady cyclist collided with a motorcar in Lambton Quay this afternoon. In endeavoring to avoid the cyclist, tho ear swerved on to the footpath, smashing, a plate-glass window of Kirkcaldie! and Stains' shop. The cyclist was much cut about, and was removed to the hospital in an unconscious state. She is believed to be a Mrs Thompson, residing in Wellington, but particulars are unobtainable till she recovers consciousness.
Later. The victim of the bicycle-motor collision is Lena Thompson, a single woman, about twenty years old. At a late hour to-night her condition is unchanged. .•>> ■ : ;WflPl
