JUDGMENT OF HIGH COVKT. | Received lGtb, 11.35 p.m. Sydney, Augn-t Th* High Court refused Mr Yardon'a Application for a writ of mmdamus for compelling the Governor of South Australia to cause to issue a writ for a fresh election of Senator by the people. Ti*e Court held that the Governor of the State was not an officer of the Commonwealth, but refrained from expressing an opinion on the point raised, whether or not a vacancy now existed in Senatorial representator So'ith Australia, leaving the Sen&t* to settle the point itself.
