FORESTRY.
The half-yearly meeting of the Taranaki District o£ Foresters was lield at inglewood on Tuesday. There were present lite following district offiecrs: Bro. (J. Braund, D.CR.j Bro. (J. Burgos*, D.5.0.R.; Bro. C. B. Lever, D.8.; Bro. 11. ii. Cattley, D.T.; and 0. Tunbridge, D.S. The delegates were: Bro. E. A. Golding, P.0.R., Court Taranaki (New Plymouth); Bro. H. N. Gtoldwater, P.D.0.R.; and Bro. W. Sadler, P.C.H., Court Waireka (New Plymouth); Bro. H. Stiuison, P.0.R., Court Inglewood Forest; Bro. J. Hulbcrt, P.C-R., Patea; Bro. J. Russell, P.C.R., Court Ralegh (YVaitara); Bro. W- McNiven, P.C.H., Court Egmont (Hnwera); Bro. P.: J. lvivoll, P.0.R., Court Stratford; Sister A. Coleman, P.C-K. (Court Pride of New Plymouth); Bro. IS. Stevens, P.C.tt., Court Opunakc. There were also prosent: Sister M. Pcarce, P.C.R. (Court Pride of New Plymouth); Bro. Pencil, P.C.R-., Bro. Fawcett, P.C.R., and Bro('lough, P.C.R-, Court Inglewoood Forest—Bro. G-. Braund, D.0.R., presided. Tile District Oliieers, in their report, urged members to. endeavor to increase membership. They reported having paid the usual half-yearly visits to the various Courts. The District Secretary had taken over all the hooks of the Opunnke Court, and the work of the Court was now curried out by the district officers. During Hie half-year four members had died, three brothers and a sister. The bile Bro. John Rcilly, P.C.R., of Court Taranaki, was one of these. He was one of the oldest Foresters in the distri.--. hiving joined Court City of Auck- ''■. ISG3, and by clearance joined Taranaki in ISGO.
..,,' following nominations were .e----ceived for the offices for the next Year: D.S.C.R. Bro. G. Burgess, as D.C.R.; D.B. Bro. C. B. Lever, as D.S.C.R.; D.CR. Bro. J. Russell, as D.B.
Bro. Goldwatcr gave notice to move that the next District Court meeting consider the question of paying benefit to those members who have been in the. Order for, say 25 years, and who have reached the age of 60 years. On the motion of Bro. IT. JT. Goldwater, seconded by Bro. McGiven, a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Court lnglewood Forest for the kind manner in which the delegates and o'ftleors had (been received. It was decided to hold the next delegates' meeting at Waitara. The visiting delegates were treated right royally by the lnglewood Court A splendid dinner -was provided, and in the afternoon the visitors were driven out towards Tarata.
