THE O'BRIEN SHIELD. The play-off for the O'Brien shield on Western Park thiis afternoon between. the Tukapa and Star first junior teams, should attract a large attendance of enthusiasts. Those who have witnessed, the play of the juniors in the recent. trial and other matches have been somewhat astonished to witness games quite as interesting as most of the senior exhibitions given during the past season. Another North v. South trial mat«B! is to be played at Stratford this afternoon. This match has been arrangod to give the selectors of the representative team a further chance to prove >,'ae calibre of certain players, and a wellcontested game should be witnessod. The game will be of two half-hour spells, and a. third spell will be played between a possible and probable team. The game will commence at 3 o'clock.
