POST OFFICE TRANSFERS.
Per Press Association. Wellington, August 5. i. .The following transfers are announced consequent on the promotion of D. Gumming, inspector- of post offices to be controller an J accountant: J. B. Dall, at present assistant inspector of post oflices in the central district, becomes Inspector, and J. 11. Stevens, now Postmaster at Hawera, will take the position of assistant inspector.
