A GRUESOME DISCOVERY.

I Per Press Association. Auckland, August 2. A gmeaome discovery was made at Cheltenham I'each by a small boy named Harold Davey this morning. About halfpast nine he was playing on the beach, when he came across some human relics in the shape of two fingers, or a linger and a thumb. The discovery was reported to the police, and a search is being instituted along the foreshore fpr other possible remains. The severed members have the appearance of having belonged to a toierably young person, and it is thought they may hav« become detached from the body of one of the crew of the ill-fated cutter Flora.
