Per Press Association. nu, r August Z. Ihe employees of th. e Colonial Ammunition Company hav e forwarded a petition to the Hon. Mj Millar, thanking the Government for the proposed tariff on shot cartridges land cases, etc. At pre- ' sent it is stated about 40 workers are ' employed by the company, and if the I proposals fibe carried it would give employment (*> 100 or 150 on shot cartridges At the present time threefourths Ojf the machinery is standing idiot for wa'nt of work. If .the Government proposals are not carried, the company yill send the plant and machinery Australia at the end of the present year.
