Sydney, July 31. The Shop Assistants' award embodies provision for an advance of about JO per cent, in wages generally; in some instances the increase is 10 to 50 per cent. The wage for male assistants of nin» years' experience is lixed at £- 10s; for females, not less than 27s Gd. The maximum number of working • hours is 93 per week.
