RE-EMPLOYMENT OF STRIKERS. Received 30th, 10..-.0 p.m. Capetown, July 30. Mine-owners ou the Rand declare that, while they agreed to reengage skilled machine men at exceptionally good wages, they had nut conceded anything regarding the number of machines each should supervise. They merely rerepcatedly circled round the Imperial engage as many strikers as possible. Jlany still remain unemployed, and Government offers them prospectors' licenses.
