FOUL MURDER.
A GRUESOME PROGRAMME. Received 31st, 12.40 a.m. Sydney, July 30. A murder lias taken place at Quirindi. George Tofft, while under the Influence of liquor, visited the home of his sweetheart, a girl named Fletcher. They quarrelled, and lie induced the girl to accompany him to the rear of the house, where he shot her twice, and in addition battered in her head. Meeting an acquaintance. Tofft said he had "done for" Miss Fletcher, and added that he wanted to kill her father, then have a feed and do for himself. Tofft is missing.
