The machinery on the ground l floor was damaged by water The work men u-ied a large Merryweather fire engine with good results, and the City Firo Unpad l aisn rendered excellent nervier, despite the fact that it was summoned at rather a late stage. The building was insured in the Alliance and other offices for £550, and the plant, elcclfi' cal fittings, etc., In the same .office for £3OBO. The insurances on the woo l tire not available.
