Per Press Association. Palmers toil N., July 28. The New Zealand I'armers' 13aii-> Union balance-sheet just issued shows that the Union had .1 prosperous year. During the year 221 new shares were is Bued .and A:4537 distributed amongs' shareholders, in addition to the usual monthly payments. During the season 807 tons of butter had teen manufactured being Iti tons in excess of last year's. After careful consideration, the directors decided not to erect che-'se plants, but to continue butter-making. During llie year the union advanced £03,770 against butter-fat received. The gross proceeds of sales were £93,708 and there is still in hand £3158 for dis tribution amongst suppliers and shareholders. The quantity of milk received was 45,761,09311)3. There was an average test of 23.351bs of null? to the pound of butter. The tests range® from 3.38 to 5.03, the average being 3.8. The number of pounds of butter made was 1,943,258.
