NATIONAL DEFENCE LEAGUE.
Per Press Association. Wellington, July 23. At a public meeting held last night a branch of the National League of New Zealand was formed in Wellington. The Premier, speaking in support of the proposal, said he believed the National League movement would have the effect of impressing upon the people the fact thait when necessity arose they must have that experience which would enable them to fight for their country and King. Personally he would do he could publicly and privately to move public opinion in this direction on sound and politic lines.
