Miss llhodcs. of the Elivm School of Aits, Auckland, has been appointed art instructor to the Taranaki Education Hoard and the Kew Plymouth High Pi'linnl Uoard of (iovornor.-i. The Auckland School of Art, of which she lias been a working member for some rears awarded her high certificates for sludies from antique and monochrome. design for panel (natural foliage), and still life in oils, whilst al the Ela.ni School she earned the following certificates:—Host work of the year in monochrome, best wo lie of the' year in still life painling in oils, and best work of the year in a set of features, shaded.
