AUCKLAND HARBOR.
Per Press Association. , Auckland, July 10, At a meeting of the Harbor Board, a report was read from Captain Duder (harbormaster) regarding the proposal *" to place luminous buoys in Rangitoto Channel. He expressed the opinion that * the best way to light the channel was by erecting a new lighthouse about 2000 ft ' -'' north-east, quarter north from Bean i? ltock. It was decided to send the re- -'" port to the Marine Department. The ''■ Harbor Board has accepted J. H. Adama and C.'s tender at £25,430 for Ave steel sheds on the railway wharf, subject to ga-vanised iron being provided for roof-
