UACLSG W AUSTRALIA. Heccived 18th, 12.27 a m. Sydney, July 17. Tic New Zealanders Mahutu was scratched for the Epsom Handicap and Metropolian; and Advance and the Brown SDec colt eliminated from the A.J.C. Derby.
METEOPOLITAN COMMITTEE, The Taranaki Metropolitan Committee met oa Tuesday "evening. Present: Messrs F. Watson (chairman), Blundell, Hiil. ,Leppcr, St-indish, Webster, and W. C. Weston. Mr K. H, Campbell wrote, asking that the disqualitication should be removed from a horse that had run at an unregistered meeting at Oeo. He stated that the horse had been run at this meeting without his knowledge.—The disqualification must run its course. At the request of the Egmont Kacing Club several owners and horses were placed on the unpaid forfeit list. All the applications received for trainer*' and jockeys' licenses were granted.
TABAXAKI JOCKEY CLUB. The committee of the Taranaki Jockey Club met subsequently. I Correspondence was read, showing that by error the name of W. Elliot, owner and trainer, of Waitara, had been placed on (lie ''suspended" list in the Official Calendar. The secretary of the Racing Conference wired from Cliristchiirch that the mistake was a printer's error, and that the Referee would make the correction and insert a paragraph in apology. It was decided that the Course Committee and two other members should report at next meeting on improvements to the course and building.
