Read was deferred, pending the ranger's report.—Consideration of the remaining applications were approved. The ranger's report on the application of F. Schwa mm to transfer see. 17, 20, anil 7, block 2, Upper AVnitara. to F. Kirlon was laid on the table.—Resolved that the applicaat.having failed to fulfil the conditions ofpersonal residence, was not eligible to transfer, and the Hoard refused to grant thn application. J. D. Smith applied to transfer sec. fifl. block 4, Paiitutu (Spotswood), to AT. Jury.—The Hoard considered the proposed transferee was not eligible to hobl this land.

JD. Hoar applied to transfer portion of sec. 10, block 3, Ohura', to A. ,T. Storey for Kaleyards at Maticre.—-Ap-proved.

The Board considered the cases of two Land for Settlement tenants and their arrears of rent.—Notice will be given to J. R. Dougherty and John Finlay that a half-year's rent must be paid within three months, otherwise the Board will be compelled to take legal action to recover the amounts due.

The Waimate lioad Board submitted proposals for expenditure of £23 lis fid accrued thirds.—Approved.

RANGER'S REPORTS. K. To'inc, ranger, reported on the inspection of 40 holdings, comprising an area of 14,1)35 acres. Improvements needed to comply with the veoeuireuicias of the. Act were £2874, and the total value of improvements effected was .C10,(172. Twenty-three selectors were resident, six had not complied with the conditions in this respect, and two had not effected sufficient improvements.

.!. IJultou, raugtir, reported on the. inspection of 23 holdings, comprising I.">.i>]'2 acres. Improvements required wen' £lllO2, and actually effected C 10.052. Eighteen wove resident, and two had not complied with the residential conditions. BATKY FACTORY SITE.

K. (irifliths and Co. applied to ha granted permission to occupy about five acres of sec. 4, block 3, Ohura, for a dairy factory site at Niho Nilio.—Resolved that the Ohura Dairy Co. be allowed to occupy such an urea as may be determined by the Commissioner and erect a building thereon, and tint tli" necessary steps be taken to have the land put up to public auction.

HUIROA. .1. Barron, ranger, suggested that the remainder of the bush on Iluiroa township Reserve be felled, and the area sown in grass.—heft in the Commissioner's hands. RF.SWKNCE COX DITIONS.

Dowman, sees. 11 and 34, block 2, Mgafimaru, deficient improvements, six months' extension; W. 11. Holland, sec. 110, block 4, Puritulu, nonresident, forfeiture. XI. Gardner asked tb.it the residence of one of bis sons on section 7, block !).
