MAN SUDDENLY LOSES HIS VOICE.
Without warning Ernest ('. Gregory. a young lawyer, while in the Xonvalk town court recently to make an appeal for a client (soys the New York Tribune) found that his voice had suddenly departed. The experts now give him little encouragement of its ever returning'- As Mr Gregory attempted to speak he was unable to utter a word He fell Irack into his chair almost iu a swoon from .surprise and grief, and had to be taken home. He had always possessed a full, clear voice, and had a most promising career. He had never had trouble with his voice, and had uo cold that might have affected his organs. It I was thought tltat the affliction might Ibe temporary, but the vocal organs arc ! paralysed, and Mr Gregory is probably I permanently dumb.
