Canterbury brands 4y B d, [North Island 3%d. Lamb—Steady demand, chiefly for light weights. Canterbury s '/ad, other brands sd.
Beef—Steady. Hinds 3%d, fores 3i/ s d. The butter market is lifeless except I for very best quality. Choicest New ' Zealand 90s, Danish 109s. There has "been no change in cheese since last week. The hemp "market is quiet, but firm, at unchanged rates. The cocksfoot seed market is firm, and better demand is being experienced, with prices rising. Bright, clean Now Zealand seed, 171bs to the bushel, on spot, 58s per cwt. J
