A DAMAGES CLAIM.

At the District Court to-day, before Judge llaselden and a jury of four, the hearing was commenced of a claim for £3OO damages by Walter Scott and Catherine Scott, for' damages against Hugh Caasidy, coach proprietor, for the death of their infant child, caused by a coach accident on the Otira-Christchurch road. The case for the plaintiff lasted all day. The evidence was in the direction of stating that the coach-was not strone enough, several portions of the limVcn coach being produced in court.
