Footstools are <juite fashionable again. Charming drawing-room stools arc made on a slender-legged wooden foundation, which is gilt or enamelled ivory white, while the slutted tops arc composed uf a striped or flowered brocade, which reproduces the harmonious colors ami designs of the eighteenth century and curly Kmpirc days. Dining-room and library luntstools -diould be handsome ami plainly severe, while chintzcovered hassocks are just the thing for the spare loom ami "dell."
