SUICIDE AT TATARAIMAKA.
A suicide under so mewhat distressing ii-cuinstanecs was discovered at Tatarainaka yesterday, a young man named \rtliur Woods having taken his life. I'he unfortunate man met with an accilent some years ago which impaired his InteKect. and he had been treated for 1 time i:i a mental hospital. Ou Saturday week Ids mother died suddenly in the house, the body being discovered by the son Arthur. The friends and relatives who had been at Tataraimaka in J connection with 'the funeral obsequies left 011 Friday. The unfortunate man ' rose at five o'clock 011 Saturday morning, and so far as is known at present, ' was not again seen alive. When a 1 brother returned at night and the miss- • iug loan was not to be found, a search was instituted, in the pursuit of which a constable went out 011 Sunday morning. The body was eventually discovered banging in a tree, up which the deceased had climbed some distance before committing the rash act. All inquest is to be held this afternoon.
