WEDDING AT FRANKLEY ROAD.

(From Our Correspondent.) Au interesting ceremony took place at Frankleigh Park on Thursday afternoon, when Mr. Newton Allen, fourth son of tlm late Mr W. S. Allen, of New Plymouth, and Miss E. Williams, fourth daughter of the late Mr Thomas Williams and Mrs ft. Williams, now-of Wanganui, were united in holy matrimony, Kev. T. Jirooke olliciating. The bride who was becomingly attired in a pretty grey travelling dress and wore the orthodox wreath and veil, curried a handsome boiupiel presented by Mrs C. Carter. Miss Leila Williams attended her sister as bridesmaid, dressed in cream nun's veiling, trimmed with ribbon and lace. Mr E. Carter ac(ed as best man. After the ceremony about sixty of the, personal friends of the couple partook of the wedding repast, Mr E. A lay catering. "'The lividc and Bridegroom" was proposed by the IU'V. Krnoke, and "The iTost and Hostess" by Mr (■. Carter, who look the opportunity of referring to the good <|iia)i{ies of Mr Allen, who had been connected with his business for a number of years. Mr E.
