HUNT CLUB.
The North Taranaki Hunt Club's meet, which was held on Thursday afternoon at Oraata, was an unqualified success Unfortunately ihe huntsman. Mr Ingram Colson, had ;i tall early in the day, and the pack misled his services sorely. Messrs Clemow's and Penwarden's pioperties were hunted over, a'd provided splendid country. The drag supplied some excellent and varied fences, covering a course of about a mile and a half. A numlicr of members negotiate.! the journey safely, some of the horses * bowing excellent form. After the drag refreshments were parlaken of, and a move made towards the Sandhills in quest of a hare, but owing to the absence of tic huntsman the pack was unsuccessful. ,"s»\.'ial n,n,(l >"ciues were negotiated in the sean-h for a mn, and the i„n-tr gradually worked ba< k to t!>< ~t:irtins lriint.
