THE MISSING SHAREBROEER.
LITTLE HOPE OF RESCUE. —— »■ * Per Press Association. Dunedin, July 4. This morning the Marine Department ordered a lug to be sent to search for Mr C. W. Harvey, who was last seen drifting to sea in an open boat. The Hinemoa also promised to keep a look out on the voyage down the coast. The boat was a 14 ft gig. The nautical au- r thorlties are of opinion that the case,' is almost hopeless, as so much time has elapsed. The boat would probably' toss about, with the gunwale awash, and the. man's only chance would be to cling to the partially submerged wood-work. He* would be buffeted by the icy waves, and cold and exhaustion would soon accomplish its deadly work. Harvey's friends, however, are still hoping that he will turn up again safe and sound.
