Prom tun reports people expected to see a hrstcl iss and uuiijue exhibition, and, it is sale to say, this expectation was fully realised. For two hours the large attendance of people were treated "o (eats of horsemanship, pcii'oriiiing horses, and Itssooing that have never been seen in the district before. Perhaps the most, interesting feature of the *liow was the work of the pony Saudow, which seems to be endowed with the intelligence of a human being. Jle seems to be able to do everything else but talk. At the command of his master lie would be as docile as a one moment and the next he w'o'.ihi as furiously as any of the "outlaws'* that form part of the extraordinary combination. Mexican Bill's work with the lissoo and his general riding were mucli admired. Kidney O'Neill's riding, trick and otherwise, was of an unusually high standard. Miss O'Neill took part in a steeplechase, and showvd that she is not far removed from her brothers in ability Eo keep on the back of and manage' a horse. The principal of tile show, Kniic O'Neill, was unable to take an active part in the proceedings owing tu an injury he sustained' to his leg as a result of a fall from one of his horses whilst performing iu i.ltliani. It was a pity, for many were looking forward to seeing this redoubtable rider in the saddle. During the evening ihe proprietor offered a guinea to anyone successfully keeping Ins saddle lor a minute on one of the wild horoes. A local rider essayed the task, and though he made a plucky attempt, the minute did not elapse before lie
found himself on iuoliior earth. Tin high jumping and stceplecli'asing wa uf a meritorious order, especially th, lierfoiiuance of Kuby, a line clli'stnu lnart 'i which leaps like a stag. Alto get her *he had about a dozen leaps and Jiit last performance of lift a'/.,ii na= particularly good, llev rider only a lad, and his riding was excellent lie ii,lcs bure-backed, and has a good seat, u-'es plenty of judgment with hit Uiouiii, and keeps his hands in true limiting fashion on the mare's withers Tile performance is a most interesting one, mid can be honestly rcconmiciidet; as U'i'll worth patronising.
