WHANGAREI STABBING CASE
IXJUEED MAN'S CONDITION. Per Press Association. Whaugarei, July 3. ' Bissett, the victim of the stabbing case, is, still alive, but in a very preea- ' rious state. There'is some faint hope of his recovery if there is no change for ' the worst during the next two or three days. THE ACCUSED ESCAPES FROM CUSTODY. LEAPS OVERBOARD AND DROWNED. Per Press Association. Auckland, July 3. Bradshaw was under the charge of Constable Wade. The Aupouri had n rough trip from Whangarei. About six o'clock tiiis morning Bradshaw said he wanted to go on deck for a certain purpose, and the constable accompanied him. Bradshaw suddenly bolted behind the deckhouses, and was not seen afterwards. He is supposed to have been drowned.
