Wellington, July 2. Tim Department of Agriculture has issued corrected returns of the colony's -rain yield. The actual yields per acre for I'JOU-7 are: Wheat, 27.1S bushels; >ats, :j!,H3; barley, 31.08. The following :uc details of the yields and quantities ill hand: —Wheat: The area for threshing was 20(1,185 acres, and the total yield was computed at 5,005,202 bushels. I'lie quantity of wlieat and Hour retmn>d on band at October 111, 1901!, was i,125,300 bushels. The quantity of wheat and Hour imported from November 1, 190(i, to February 28, 1!)07, was 37,012 bushels, a total of 8,7G7,5G4 bushels. From this has to be taken the wheat and Hour exported from November 1, 190(1, to February 28, 1007, 19,300 bushels, and the consumption for the same period, 1,880,000 bushels, leaving the amount available for all purposes at February 28, 1007, at 0,808.264 bushels. The estimated quantity required for seed is 500,000 bushels, and the estimated ■■onsumplion to February 28, 1908, 5,700.000 bushels, a total of (1.2(10,000 bushels, leaving all apparent surplus of 008.204 bushels.
