ATTEMPTED MURDER.
Per Press Association. Wkangarei, July 2. Mervyu Karl Bradshaw was charged at the Court this morning with the attempted murder of Allen Edward Bis- ' sett at Opuawhanga yesterday, and wiib remanded for eight days, as Bissett is in a critical condition. Accused is a single man, aged 23. He is a nephew of Bissett, and worked at the hitter's flaxmill. ft is alleged that he attacked Bissett . with a sheath-knife and drove it to the" hilt in his left side, besides inflicting other serious wounds in his back and amisJames Aldred, who rushed to tho res-, cue, was aiso attacked, but wrested the" knife from accused. ' ' There is a very faint hope of Bissett's recovery.
