DAIRYING IN NEW SOUTH WALES.
The development of the dairy iudusIry in New South Wales has had a remarkable effect upon the progress of the rich country lying on the north coast of the Stats, running from JJelilngen river as far north as Cape Byron. Mr li. C. L. Anderson, Director of the Intelligence Department, who has returned from a visit to this district, expresses his wonder at the marvellous growth he. limb there since his previous visit 10 years ago. Lismore on the Kichmond river, in the cenrte of this fine agricultural and dairying territory, was then practically a village: it has now attained the proportions of a city, where business people talk freely of values ranging to CIOO a foot. The prices set upon farming land arc described by Mr Ander *on as enormous.
