SHORTAGE OF NURSES.

At the Hospital Board meeting to-day a. complaint was read from the lady su-l-ennteudent of the shortage of the nursing stall to cope with the increased work. Ihe nurses averaged 12 hours a. day, and their holidays were hopelessly m arrears. Insufficient probationers were coming forward. The hoard decided to grant uu honorarium in addition fo salaries to the nurses engaged on the Plague and small-pox cases
