■ <s- . NEW PLYMOUTH v. CARRINGTON ' ROAD. This match was played yesterday afternoon, resulliug in a draw, one goal each. The ground was hard and the s game fast. New Plymouth had slightly c the better of the play, but their Moot- v in;; was none too accurate. Fagan scored for New Plymouth, and the C.ir- !. rington Eoad goal was shot from a j general melee. E. Avery, Bcale, Nicoll, ! Fagan, M. Avery, and R. Ciitfield play- " ed best for New Plymouth, and Clap- ' ham, A. and W. McEwan, Pcrham and Jordan for Carrington Road- Mr Broome acted as referee.
The following have been selected to play in a trial game at New Plymouth on Thursday nest:—"A" team: Crawford, E. Avery, Anderson (Stratford), Ainbury, Beale. W, McEwan, Cathro, Marett', M. Avery, Anderson (N.P.) and Perham- "li" lettm: King, Nicoll, A. McEwan, Anderson (Stratford), Ward, E. Outfield, Tribe, Pennington, P. McEwan, Fagan, and J. Harris- After the match the team to represent Taranaki against Wiiirarupa on July 3rd, at New Plymouth, will be picked.
