MINING INTERESTS. Pretoria, June 18. Iu the Legislative Council Sir George Farrai censured Mr. Botha, the Premier, for breaking his promise to protect the mining interests. (Sir George is a mining magnate and President of the Transvaal Chamber of Mines.) BRITISH GOVERNMENT'S INTERFERENCE. Pretoria, June 18. In the Council Sir George Farrar denounced the loan guarantee as a fresh instance of Downing street interference in the colony's domestic concerns, and asking the vital question of labor out of the Transvaal's hands. He added that the Government policy respecting the increased supply of natives was merely the policy of pious hopes in ihe teeth of the findings of many Commissions. There were signs that the Government would petition to cancel the debts of repatriated burghers, while the leaders of Orangia were united in hinting of an intention to repudiate all liability on behalf of the Orange colony.
