Several of the Varzin's plates were buckled by fire but she is seaworthy. Repairs will be effected on reaching Hamburg. (The German-Australian steamer Varzin, loading for the Continent at Woolloomooloo Bay. caught fire. It is supposed the fire originated in a quantity of copra shipped at Brisbane.)
